As a build up to GIS Day 2023, we are running amazing competitions this year for primary, secondary and tertiary students. Latops, smartphones and other exciting prizes to be won. See category information below for more details.


TERTIARY
Make a video to promote the benefits of GIS in your community and post it on the following social media platforms using hashtags  #GISDayFiji #GISDay2023

Join the  Fiji GIS/RS User Forum  page and post your video. 
post the video on your Instagram account and tag @gisfiji
post the video on your Twitter account and mention @gisfiji

When uploading the video, do include the following information in your caption: 
Full Name 
University 
Program of Study 
Phone Contact 

CRITERIA: 
1. Competition is open to both working and full time students. 
2. Video must be 5 minutes long and in English. 
3. Must reflect the GIS Day theme  Geospatial | The Future of Fiji
4. Video should be original, not downloaded or clipped from ready made videos online.  
5. Feel free to include friends, families or community members in your video.  
6. Can include animation, music and written text. 
7. Any tertiary student of any discipline is welcome to participate. 
8. Individual work only. 

SECONDARY
Create a model depicting the GIS Day Theme  Geospatial | The Future of Fiji

CRITERIA:
1. Competition is open to all secondary students in any program of study including vocational.
2. Individual Work Only.
3. Features on the model must be well depicted.
4. The model must be handmade and original. Printing and pasting online material is not allowed.
5. The model must demonstrate creativity, good understanding of geography, clarity in terms of theme and relevant to Fiji.
6. Submit the models with an abstract pasted at the back of the model, including the following details:
Student's Full Name
School's Postal Address
Form and Discipline of Study
Contact Details
7. The model can be hand delivered or posted to the following address:

PRIMARY
Create a map of the community/village/settlement you live in. The map must include important places for example, schools, bus stops, roads, place of worship, market, etc.

CRITERIA:
1. Competition is open to all primary school students.
2. The map must be drawn on a white A3 paper size sheet.
3. Individual work only. Group work is not permitted.
4. The map must be handmade and original. Printing and pasting online material is not allowed.
5. The map must demonstrate creativity, good understanding of your surroundings for ease of navigation.
6. Your place of residence must be marked in the map.
7. Submit the poster with an abstract pasted at the back, including the following details:
Title of the map with the name of the community/village/settlement
Student's Full Name
School's Postal Address
Contact Details
8. The poster can be hand delivered or posted to the following address:
